It also scored well in the COOP category, with a 4-star rating of 40.89 out of a possible 49 points. It comes with two airbags, four-channel ABS, ISOFIX anchorage for a child, a reverse parking camera, auto headlamps, front fog lamps, rear defogger, rain-sensing wipers, and rear defogger, and many more.
2.Mahindra XUV 300
GNCAP awarded Mahindra's XUV300 its first 5-star rating. It is a compact SUV that is loaded with multiple features such as six airbags, front parking sensors, all four disk brakes, ABS, EBD with cornering function, and Electronic Stability Program.
There are seat belt reminders, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), rear defogger, panic braking signal, hill start assist, anti-theft alarm, speed-sensing door lock, impact sensing door unlock, immobilization, and many more.
There are 16.42 points out of a possible 17 that was awarded to the XUV300 in the AOP category. In the COP category, the vehicle earned a 4-star rating with 37.44 points out of a maximum of 49 points.
3. Tata Altroz
It is a premium hatchback that received a five-star rating from Global NCAP. The Tata Altroz is one of the safest premium hatchbacks in India because it is one of India's most planned cars. Tata Nexon also scored 25 points out of 49 potential points in the category of child occupant protection. It has dual airbags, ESP, emergency brake assist, electronic traction control, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake disc wiping, ISOFIX mounts, reverse parking camera, and many more.
5. Mahindra XUV700
GNCAP has given the Mahindra XUV700 a 5-star rating, making it the second SUV from the manufacturer to achieve this ranking. Out of 17 points, the AOP category had a 5-star ranking. The rating for this category was four stars out of a possible 49 points. Drivers' and passengers' heads, necks, chests, and knees are well protected in the SUV.
The vehicle is equipped with seven airbags, ABS, ESP, driver drowsiness detection, and lane-keep warning. It has forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, smart pilot assists, auto high-beam assist, booster headlights, and personalized safety alerts.
6. Mahindra Marazzo
The Mahindra Marazzo is among the safest cars in India, besides being one of the few MPVs on the market. In the adult occupant protection category, the Marazzo earned four stars. They were awarded two stars in the child occupant protection category. It has airbags, ABS with EBD, disc brakes on all wheels, cornering lamps, rear parking camera and sensors, ISOFIX, and many more.
7. Volkswagen Polo
The 4-star rating for the German company's Volkswagen Polo in the category of adult occupant protection out of a possible 17 points is impressive. Volkswagen Polo scored 29.91 points out of a maximum of 49 points in the child occupant protection category. It has dual front airbags, ABS, rain-sensing wipers, speed-sensing door locks, rear parking sensors, rear windshield washer and wiper, rear defogger, and many more.
8. Mahindra Thar
The SUV has off-road equipment, but it is also safe. The Mahindra Thar scored 12.52 out of 17 points in the AOP category, earning the vehicle a 4-star rating. Out of 49 points, the COP category gave it 4 stars. The chests of the driver and passenger were well protected. It has dual airbags, ABS, ESP, interior roll cage, Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX anchorage, rear parking assist system, and many more.
9 .Tata Tigor
The Tiago is another product from Tata Motors that scored four stars. Facelifted versions of the tested vehicles were tested. They awarded four stars to the Tiago/Tigor in the category of occupant protection for adults. The car scored 3-stars without ISOFIX mounts for the child protection category. It has ABS with EBD, dual airbags, Corner Stability Control, rear parking sensors, a camera, Follow Home Lamps, Speed Sensitive Auto Door Locking, Rear Wash Wiper (Tiago) with Defogger, and many more.
